Description:

Unity Architects implemented a whole-house strategy to transform a poorly performing existing dwelling into a spacious family home. By redefining the proportions, order and arrangement of spaces, new qualitative levels of function and experience were enabled.

Private, semi-private and open spaces combine to offer the occupants variation of use and experiential pleasure. The old, cellular arrangement has been transformed into a sequence of dynamic spaces with desirable flow and connectivity.

This project is a strong example of instigating a rigorous design process to unleash the potential of existing building stock in a bespoke manner, allowing the end-user to directly influence their own environment.
