Description:

Unity Architects has successfully obtained outline planning consent for the creation of a new 30,000 sqft Innovation Centre for Panesar Foods Ltd. This international company continues to expand and requires additional building capacity at their existing site in Tipton, to match the scale of its growing business operations.

A core requirement was to introduce a new industrial and logistics unit without detriment to the 2no. existing units on site, as business operations would need to be uninterrupted during construction. Unity Architects ingeniously weaved a new 30,000 sqft unit into the existing site, making use of existing vehicular access points and internal traffic routes.

The benefit of establishing the new industrial and logistics unit within the existing site were substantial for two primary reasons: Panesar Foods Ltd already own the land, so there is no land acquisition required as part of the development. Secondly, the efficiencies of having business operations contained within a single site far exceed those if the site was fractured.

Surpassing conventional warehouse design, Unity Architects crafted a scheme which sets the tone for this contemporary Innovation Centre, where the architectural face of the business communicates strength and industry leading standards.
