Description:
Westfield Farm is a stunning modern country house situated in the picturesque village of Loxley. The homeowner client approached Unity Architects seeking our professional architectural services to develop proposals for a luxury swimming pool that is ancillary to the host 6-bedroom dwelling.
Lawful development consent for the creation of a swimming pool outbuilding had previously been obtained by others. The client wanted to explore a more expressive scheme and therefore searched for RIBA architects Stratford-upon-Avon. Unity Architects were consequently appointed as the new build architects to guide them through the applicable RIBA work stages, to arrive at a building which is functionally efficient, poetically beautiful and representative of a high end residential architects design intent.
Our architectural strategy sought to surpass the core function of a standard outbuilding by actively orchestrating its context. The design shapes pedestrian movement toward, around, and through the building, connecting users to other areas of the exceptionally large garden. A striking cantilevered roof design serves as an architectural portal—leading you from the host dwelling, framing distant rural views, and physically connecting you to the depths of the 3-acre private estate.
